Lena Scorn

Scorn grew up on the mean streets of New York. Orphaned at a young age, she was forced to survive any way she could. Begging, borrowing and stealing were a regular way of life for Lena and her fellow street hoods. One night, while waiting for another mugging victim to pass her way, Scorn tucked into the alley behind a smoky jazz club. There in the darkness, she fell in love with the smooth, soulful sounds that were pouring out through the open windows. It was then that she realized her calling…To hold up that jazz club. Once she did, she bought herself a ticket and moved to New Orleans in hopes of learning and perfecting the art of jazz singing from the greats. She clawed her way to the top, performing all over the world but no matter how far she travels, she never forgets her roots. Her love of the fights she sought out on those New York streets still burns in her heart. She works out her aggression and blood lust in the only way a “classy” lady can, through wine and roller derby.
