Ruca Von Riot grew up on Planet Riot in the Demolition Galaxy. As a small child, she grew up with 9 brothers.. all of which were training to become combat warriors in an ongoing war against their much hated neighbor, Planet Calmtron. Since Ruca was the only daughter out of 10 and female warriors were forbidden, she spent her days dreaming about what it would be like to train with the boys and rule superior as the first female combat warrior to come out of Planet Riot. She would strike down her nemesis and would gain the respect of her planet… As each day went on, her urge to train with her brothers only got stronger. One day, as Ruca was doing her usual day dreaming she felt a tug on her leg. When she looked down, there was no one around, but a box was left on the ground by her foot with a bow on it. Carefully opening the box, Ruca discovered a pair of roller skates inside. Not knowing what these strange things were, she eventually figured out to put them on her feet. Suddenly, Ruca was zipping past her brothers and before she could even realize it, she skated right into the King of Calmtron himself, knocking both him and his minions down like terrified bowling pins. The whole planet celebrated and gave her the honorable title of “Ruca”. However, she was still not content. Ruca decided to travel to a different galaxy in search of a new place to call home. She finally came upon Planet Earth where she discovered roller derby and has been living there ever since.
